Learning about music is another great reason why jazz bands should exist! It is a way for students to pursue something they love. Music will always exist. People will always need it. Students who participate musically are more likely to do well academically. It gets their mind working in a positive way. Jazz band is a great way to draw students into music who might not participate otherwise.

Schools might all need to make cuts. No matter what, they decision for what to cut will be difficult. Music, however, should be one of the last things that a school should cut. It is so important to keep the kids in school who are struggling. It is so important to let them have fun at school. Having a jazz band can even help pay for the music program.
